Thanks for the plug- to clearf thing up, I’m fil-am. ‘meztizo’ is the term, my grandparents hail from Basilan, and Mindanao.
I grew up in Palawan.and Makati – and California.

But, yes- I once guested on show of my kumare & komapre at the channel I worked at for 15 years off and on to prove along with a number of other guests that, yes, there are filipino’s of different races.

We – are also we are afterall asia’s melting pot, and, there is little stigma, unlike other parts of Asia, either nor discrimination.
Except in a few places.

So yes, Malays are the majority, but we the 18-23.5% who are considered meztizo -tisoys, chinnoys, korean-noys, arabo-pinoys, afro-pinoys, etc.fill the landscape,.lahat po kami ay “proud to be pinoy” as well.

When my friends and family get together – you would think you were in elsewhere till we all speak in tagalog – .eating is always done in local dialect. heheheh. :.) ” Yung manga at bagoong ah… ‘ paki abot yung balat… at mang tomas” and “Oy… ubos na yung papaitan?”
